Purpose

Problem/Challenge

The Office of Human Services Emergency Preparedness & Response (OHSEPR) needed an animated video to educate disaster-affected individuals about available federal assistance.

  • Complex Information: The process of receiving disaster aid can be confusing and overwhelming.

  • Emotional Sensitivity: Disaster victims are in distress, requiring a compassionate yet informative tone.

  • Chose a warm, approachable animation style to make the content feel inviting.

  • Used narration and subtitles to improve accessibility.

  • Applied color psychology (calming tones) to reduce stress in viewers.
